I recently acquired a cute little love seat, you can read the full story here. When I first saw the piece my eyes grew wide as I have always wanted to upholster furniture. I have just been waiting for that perfect beat up chair to test the waters. The curved back and tufted cushion of my little love seat look daunting, but I don’t want to back away from the opportunity.
I have been gobbling up every ounce of upholstery knowledge I can glean from the inter-webs. Youtube, google, blog post, before and afters, I have read it.
Even after all of my googling I was reluctant to start the project. Until I stumbled onto SPRUCE. Meet Amanda the owner of spruce, she has quite an inspirational story. She also wrote a book and produced a DVD series on upholstery.
I’m still reluctant to dive into this project. I’m evaluating costs, tools and the learning curve. Stay tuned to see if I dive in.
